After having finished a very unsupportive high school in Brussels, which focused on the weaknesses rather than the strengths, I studied Political Sciences and specialised in what was then called “Developing countries”. I worked as a lobbyist to the European Institutions and then took off to achieve one of my dreams: working in Latin America. Faith had it that it was in Colombia that I would work for the government and more specifically a Youth Program called “Colombia Joven”. I also toured the country to give a conference “Porque creer en Colombia ?” to help people reconnect with their pride in their country and ultimately believe in their power to be the change the country needed. Certainly one of the most enriching experiences in my life.
While working afterwards as a manager for an Australian company, I felt a deep need to go back to what I studied for and joined the European Commission in the field of Human Rights. A wonderful experience where I had the chance to achieve something meaningful to this day for many people around the world. On a trip to Lebanon, I realised that although I liked what I was doing, I was missing the closer contact with people and decided to resign upon my return and establish myself as a trainer and coach (you can view her full curriculum on LinkedIn) since I was doing that without even noticing it at the EC.
I am passionate about people, helping, learning and transmitting knowledge. I started my coaching education in 2001 and got fully trained as a “Tony Robbins coach” . I followed my dream to study with Happiness Harvard former Professor Tal Ben Shahar, and leading expert in Resilience, Psy.D Marie Sirois. I am the first certified coach in Positive Psychology in Belgium. As a constant learner I completed my studies with pioneer in the field of positive emotions Barbara Fredrickson Ph.D, and I am already thinking on which training will follow to complete my education. I am a constant learner.
I was born and raised in Belgium, where I live. I have multicultural origins (half Serbian, half Dutch) and lived around the world mainly to learn languages. Today I speak seven languages and coach and train in French, English, Spanish and Italian. I train bilingual groups where the training is in English but people can intervene in French and Dutch.
I am known for my integrity, energy and contagious enthusiasm. To read what a few customers says about me, check the reference page.
I have trained in Europe, Northern Africa, the US in multinationals such as Sony, Johnson & Johnson, Citrix, Euler Hermes, OCP … but also SMEs. In 2018 I started training and coaching to the European Institutions.
Some of you might be thinking while reading this: how lucky she is, and have the insane hallucination that all of this was easy … It wasn’t and it still is challenging. Read “the why” to understand.
